We are excited to share that we will be offering Quick Tips, our very own series of home design & building trends. Topics will vary based on season, buyer demand, interior design, construction, and more. The purpose of these posts is to provide a ‘Quick Tip’ that is easy enough for anyone to implement either on the fly or in their home building journey. Of course, we’d love your input on what you want to hear about, and we promise to do our best to answer any questions you have. We love hearing from our followers!
Our first Quick Tip pertains to the design of your indoor & outdoor spaces to maximize your living environment. Enjoy!
By creating continuity between your outside and indoor spaces, you succeed in making your rooms look and feel larger. Who doesn’t love that?! More space for less money!
If you have patio doors or large walls of glass, for example, a large glass door that opens up completely, flooring is instrumental in ensuring continuity between your outside space and interior living spaces. Even when the doors are closed, having similar flooring on your patio and your living space will help give the sense of space being “projected” through the glass and make the inside feel much larger. If different materials are used, or different colors, the alignment of the boards will help create a sense of flow.
